THIS IS A BLOCK OF 10 STAMPS AS PICTURED. ~ On February 18 1997, the USPS honored teachers, parents, mentors, everyone who helps children learn. This stamp, designed by children's books author and illustrator Chris Allsburg, was unofficially issued to salute the National PTA or National Congress of Parents and Teachers. The PTA had celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1996. Designer Chris Allsburg's best-known book is "Jumanji," a Caldecott medal winner that served as the basis for a 1995 feature film of the same name, featuring Robin Williams.
